✖️ It’s scientifically proven that being in nature helps with “mental-fatigue.” Between work and social media alone I’m constantly “on” and being bombarded with news stories, audio clips, memes, and personal interactions. Striving for a restored mental energy is something I’m actively trying to pursue. This weekend I had an opportunity to have fun and also have a little reset. I had an amazing hike in Yacolt Creek Falls in Portland and a relaxing guided meditation that was honestly extremely therapeutic. Taking time off to connect and listen to your body is extremely important and I’m so grateful for this weekend spent with some amazing friends.
Took Aubrey to visit the spot my water broke. So crazy that was almost a year ago I was 39 weeks pregnant and we decided to take a little hike to Lucia Falls. Right before that a man who lived near by said if she was born that day we have to name her Lucia. My water broke 5 minutes later 7/31/18 at 3:30 pm. However, the little drama queen didn’t make her arrival until 5:27 pm on August 1st. 🦋 @rayszakilla Ray snapped a pic of my reaction the minute I realized I was having a baby very soon (last pic).
