Miami, FL - 3rd grade leaving the classroom to go to one of our elective classes. (Maybe PE or art) The elderly teacher’s aid pulled my teacher to the side looking shocked with tears in her eyes. I was close enough to hear her whisper, “A plane has hit the towers.” I didn’t understand what or even where these things were they were talking about, but even as an 8 year old I could feel the gravity of it all. Strange how vivid memories can be. I can only imagine the memories of those who were there. 💔 🇺🇸 #neverforget

Just arriving at high school in 11th grade. My 1st period history teacher had the TV on and we watched everything unfold.

It was my senior year walking into the school as one of the towers were hit. I was so confused on why everyone was just sitting in one classroom glued to the tv. That day will forever be burned into my memory. :(

I was in 2nd grade. I was only 7 years old but remember every detail of that day like it was yesterday. It didn’t hit me until I saw my teacher crying and then came home to my mom crying. This is my favorite song because of its meaning. I’ve seen AJ sing it live twice. And I cry every time I hear it. I will never forget 🇺🇸

5th grade Science class with my teacher, Mrs. Walden. I remember her freaking out because her husband was supposed the be on a flight going to New York and she couldn’t get in touch with him. She was able to contact him later on. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Sitting on my couch in my apartment in Tulsa, OK, watching it live. I was worried about my friend that worked two blocks from the towers. She eventually married a survivor from the 65th floor in tower 2. At the time, I worked for a rental car company call center and it was chaos due to the thousands of stranded people at airports across the country and we didn't have any more cars. I shed a lot of tears with people on the other end of the line that day!!!! I, too, pray we can come together as a country like we were on 9/12/19. God bless America!!!!
