1978- Narankhari-Sikh Clash .
.
.

The narankhari “Guru” claimed he was the real “bajjan wala” which was the name given to the true bajjan wala Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj. Narankharis go against the principles of sikhi and disrespect the gurus and claim to follow sikhi. On purpose to agitate the Sikhs they held a conference in Amritsar on the day of vaisakhi and now hindu nationalists claim that Bhindrawales men killed innocent people. Don’t forget our mothers grieved the lives off their innocent boys too, Hindus and narakharis aren’t the only people who lost their lives in the clashes. The Indian government did nothing too stop the narankharis EVEN AFTER Sikhs organized peaceful protests against them, but the government will support Hindus who lynch Muslims because they eat beef. Disgusting hypocrisy. -New co-owner, this is going to be my first post :) .

Battle of Amritsar⚔️ . . .

The Battle of Amritsar took place in the June of 1628. Guru Hargobind Sahib the 6th guru and his army faced off against the Mughal army. The emperor of the Mughals was Shah Jahan. Shah Jahan had received a gift from the Persian emperor and it was a white hawk, which represented royalty and power. This white hawk, or baaz as we call it in Punjabi, was an extremely rare breed. One day the Sikhs and Mughals just coincidently happened to hunt in the same area. The Gurus baaz(hawk) took down the emperors hawk, and the Sikhs picked the white hawk up, not knowing it belonged to the Mughal emperor and intended to give it to Guru Ji as a gift. The Mughals saw that the hawk had stopped flying and frantically searched for it. They found the Sikhs with the hawk and they had a small fight and the Mughals retreated back to the emperors palace and told the news that the Sikhs had “stole” the royal hawk. The Mughal emperor was furious and immediately sent 7,000 Mughal soldiers to go “teach the guru a listen”. The Gurus men were outnumbered 10 to 1 and only had 700 men. The Mughals attacked for Logargh, which is now a gurudwara, and took the fort over. The Mughals looted the fort and then stayed their for the night. The next morning the Sikhs attacked the fort to regain control over it. The Sikhs captured the general of the Mughal army twice but Guru ji showed mercy and released him. The Mughal general Mulkhis Khan then challenged Guru Ji to a one on one fight. May I remind you that Guru Hargobind Sahib ji was just taller then 7 feet and was extremely buff😂. So Guru Ji let the general attack him first and after the general took three weak swings Guru ji finished him off by cutting his body in half. The Mughal army looked in shock and retreated. This marked the first battle of Amritsar and the first battle between the Mughals and Sikhs.

Speaking facts as always 💯 . . .

During the time of Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale Sikh faced police brutality all over Punjab. They were being beat, tortured, their turbans were being forcefully taken off, and they were left to rot in jail cells while their families knew nothing about their whereabouts or even if their sons were dead or alive. Throughout history the Sikh has given their lives to keep Hinduism alive. Take Guru Tegh Bahadars shaheedi for a second, he gave his life to protect Hindus who were forcefully being converted by the Mughals. Now imagine if Guru tegh Bahadar never gave his life. Hinduism would not exist today if it weren’t for Guru Tegh Bahadar. This isn’t hate it’s just plain and simple facts do your research then argue with me. When India was controlled by Mughals Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj used to wake his soldiers up at 12 am in the middle of the night to save hindu girls who were kidnapped by the Mughals and forcefully converted to Islam. While the Hindus stayed indoors and locked their doors the Sikh marched gallantly into war to free India from the Mughal rajj(rule). But they have the audacity too name India “Hindustan” and name the biggest international airport in India “Indhra Gandhi international Airport”. They named it after a women who killed thousands of innocent Sikhs. The Indian government tells us to forget 84 but they always take the chance to make sure to put salt in the wound. Every chance they get they try to remind us that India is only a country for Hindus and remind us about the tragedies of 84 by praising monkeys like Indra Gandhi and actors who organized Sikh riots. Sikh boy in green shirt tries to copy Saint Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale’s walk(1982)
#NeverForget84
. . .

When India fought for independence from the British Sikhs made up 80% of the army but only 2% of the population. Mahatma Gandhi, an accused rapist, sexist, pedophile, and racist promised the Sikhs a special place in India with a designated state and power over there state. In the 1970s this promise was broken by the Indian government. The government put aside the Sikhs needs and ignored them for years. So Saint Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale started the Dahram Yudh Morcha. He told Sikhs to stand up against oppression and take up arms and to defend themselves. He brought hundreds of Sikh youth back to sikhi and inspired generations of Sikhs to come. Many Sikhs in India started keeping there hair after Saint Ji’s passing and kept sikhi alive. He brought kids out of drugs and poverty and had them take Amrit and helped them reach God. During this time hindu mobs were looting and burning gurudwaras across India so Saint Ji’s plea to the Sikhs to take arms was reasonable since the government wasn’t protecting the Sikhs. The government claimed that Saint Ji was a terrorist. Here’s my argument against that. They arrested Saint ji 5 different times but released him. If he was such a bad human being why did they let him go? Why was he never given the death penalty? The answer to these questions is they never had evidence he was a terrorist. Another point I would like to make is that Saint Ji explicitly states in multiple speeches that he has nothing against any religion or people he has a problem with unjust governments. He never told Sikhs to kill innocent people, he told Sikhs to protect themselves and the honor of the Guru Granth Sahib!

Sikh Women In Sikh History
During the battle of Chamkaur Sahib Bibi Sharan Kaur showed true bravery and the night of the Khalsa through her tremendous actions. During the battle she collected the bodies of Shaheed Singh’s who died in the Battle of Chamkaur. She then proceeded to place the bodies on the wood and burn them, which cremated the bodies. While the bodies were burning Bibi Sharan Kaur stayed alongside the bodies doing Kirtan Sohila. When the Mughal Tripp’s saw smoke and flames rising, they went toward Bibi Sharan Kaur and wounded her fatally. Then they threw her into the fire and burned her alive. Shaheed(martyr) Bibi Sharan Kaur Ji was the last shaheed of the battle of chamkaur. She is a role model for Sikhs and Sikh girls all over the globe

Jaggi is a British born Sikh(seen in the left side of the second pic). He raised awareness throughout England about the events that occurred in 1984(Attack on Harminder Sahib & Genocide) He was also very much pro-Khalistan. On a trip to India he was wrongfully arrested for wearing a banned “Khalistani outfit”. He then went to jail with no trial and has been stuck in jail for over a year. Inside the jail he has been tortured for over a year. Jaggis family is not allowed to see or speak to Jaggi. This isn’t just one occurrence thousands of Sikhs have went into Indias jails and never returned. As Sikhs sitting in outside countries let’s pray and raise awareness for Jaggi and his family!

Woah I’ve been slacking! What’s the purpose of LANGAR?

LANGAR is the free food served at gurudwaras(Sikh temples) across the world. Sikh temples feed anyone and everybody regardless of sex, religion, race, and caste 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Langar will always be vegetarian, and will usually be Punjabi dishes including roti, rice, daal, Shai paneer and etc. When the concept of langar was created by the Gurus it was created so that everybody sits on the same level(the floor) and eats the same food, thus making us equal. Even if Barack Obama came to a gurudwara it would be required for him to sit on the floor and eat the same food as the person next to him. When Guru Amar Das Ji helped the poor he would tell people to look for the Sikh flag(Nishan Sahib) and he would give them shelter and food. Langar not only gives us a sense of equality but teaches us humanity which is displayed by Sikh groups like @khalsa_aid khalsa_aid. Free Food for ALL!

What does “BOLE SO NIHAL, SAT SRI AKAL” mean?

Basically this phrase was a war cry created by Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. But still today we use it, but not necessarily as a war cry but more as a phrase to bring Sikhs together and higher our morale. The meaning of “Bole so nihal” is “whoever utters shall be happy, shall be fulfilled.” The meaning of “sat Sri akal” is “enteral is the Holy/Great timeless Lord.” Before, during, and after battle the Singh’s would shout this war cry as a tribute to God.

The Eighth Guru, Dhan Dhan Guru Har Krishan’ Sahib Ji

Guru Har Krishan’ Sahib Ji was only 5 when he became the guru of the Sikhs. His father Guru Har Rai Sahib ji had appointed the guru position to him. Even at 5-6-7 years old Guru Har Krishan’ would recite holy scriptures and tell people to remember Waheguru. Guru Har Krishan’ loved helping the ill and even at 5,6, and 7 years old would show maturity and handle the ill with care and love. When he was in Delhi the smallpox disease broke out killing hundreds. While he tended to the ill who contracted smallpox, he himself caught smallpox and died at the age of 7. Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji is a true role model and somebody our youth should admire. At such a young age he took the responsibility of being the spiritual leader of the Sikhs, and he did it with poise.

Punjab before the 1947 partition vs Punjab today😔

Before 1947 and before the British rule the Khalsa ruled what you see in the first picture. The Khalsa ruled under the Maharaja(king) Raneet Singh. After the Maharaja died the next maharaja had yet to be chosen because the King had so many wives and children. During this time the British came in and took the Sikhs rule and took the Maharaja’s son who was supposed to rule Punjab, back to England. In England he was brainwashed and told to forget sikhi and told to cut his hair and adopt Christianity. But he chose to wear his turban no matter what. All this time he had no idea the people acting like his protectors had took his kingdom and stripped him from his motherland. After the British rule was over half off Punjab got left into Pakistan and half into India. India then took Punjab and made it even more smaller. And today you can see our Punjab in the second picture😪

Do you know about the legendary Battle of Chamkaur?

Guru Gobind Singh Ji, his two eldest sons, the panj pyare, and 40 other men were fleeing Mughals. Guru Gobind Singh Ji has ended up in the city of Chamkaur. In Chamkaur there was a hill and on that hill was a massive fortress. Guru Gobind Singh Ji decides to stop here and occupy the fort. When the Mughal emperor arangzeb heard about the gurus whereabouts he sent 1.25 MILLION TROOPS to go and capture or kill Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. During the battle of Chamkaur Guru Ji lost both of his eldest sons in battle. Guru Gobind Singh Ji was a mastermind in war tack ticks. He would send 5 Singh’s out at a time and they would fight for long periods of time. This both bought them time and killed a lot of the Mughal soldiers. He also sent 15 horses at once and the 5 Singh’s that would go out and fight would grab onto the horses stomach making them go undetected. This helped the Singh’s hide from arrows and helped them reach the front lines of the Mughals untouched. The Singh’s fought bravely and Guru Gobind Singh Ji was able to escape Chamkaur. A man that looked fairly like Guru Ji and was the same height was dressed up into Guru Ji’s clothes. This allowed guru ji to hide in a fruit trolly and escape, not a hair on his body touched. 44 Singh’s died, but the death toll of the Mughals was between 52,000-120,000. The exact number of Mughals wounded and killed lies around 150,000. The Battle of Chamkaur showed he true might of the Sikhs and the fighting spirit of the Khalsa!

K- Kirpan(Sword)
K-Kesh(Uncut Hair)
K-Kunga(Hair Comb)
K-Kara(Metal Bracelet)
K-Kachera(Undergarment)

Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave the Sikhs an identity through the Khalsa. Khalsa means “pure”. If you see a person with one or more, or even all off these things they probably belong to the Sikh community and follow the identity that Guru Gobind Singh Ji set out for us when he created the Khalsa.
